Plunger Pump Maintenance

POINT OF LUBRICATION	LUBRICANT	BREAK-IN	LONG-TERM	LUBRICANT QUANTITY
1. Eccentric Rods	SAE 90 Gear Oil	Check Daily		As required
		5-6 Drops/Min.	2-3 Drops/Min.
2. Crosshead/Wrist Pin	SAE 90 Gear Oil	Check Daily		As required
		Fill plunger base to half cover pin with oil
3. Plunger Trough	SAE 90 Gear Oil	Check Daily		As required
		Keep small quantity of oil in trough for plunger lubrication
4. Main shaft bearings	Lithium Base Bearing Grease	Grease Bearings Every Three Months		As required
5. Gear Reducer	SAE 90 Gear Oil	Check Oil Level Weekly		As required
		Change oil after first 100 hours of operation	Change oil every three months after Break-in.
		To Check Oil Level - Remove Plug at Oil Fill and Check
		To Change Oil - Remove fill plug then remove drain plug at bottom of reducer; oil will drain. Clean magnetized drain plug and replace. Add oil to Fill Line.
6. Cross Guide Bars	SAE 90 Gear Oil	Check Daily		As required
		1-2 Drops/Min.
7. Motor Bearings	Lithium Base Bearing Grease	As specified by the Motor manufacturer		As required
